The Strapi hosting gotchas, handled
Strapi is easy to start and surprisingly easy to host badly. Three problems account for most failed Strapi deployments - we designed around all of them.
Admin builds need 2GB+ RAM
npm run build compiles the entire admin panel and routinely exceeds 2GB of memory. On a 1GB VPS that means OOM-killed deploys. Our builds run in a separate 4GB build stage, so your runtime plan never has to absorb the build spike.
Uploads vanish on deploy
On ephemeral-filesystem platforms, every release wipes the media library. Our NVMe storage is persistent across deploys, and S3-compatible upload providers are supported when you want object storage instead.
The database is on you
Strapi needs production Postgres or MySQL - SQLite is dev-only. Rather than making you bolt on a separate database service, every plan includes a managed database with daily UK-stored backups.
