How much RAM does a Satisfactory server need?
Unusually, the answer depends on your save file rather than your player count: the server simulates every machine and conveyor you've ever placed. 4GB is right for a fresh world - which is why the table starts there, not at 2GB - and late-game factories genuinely use 8-12GB. Start small and resize instantly as you build.
| RAM | Recommended players | Best for | Price /mo | Renews at | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4GB | 1–4 | Fresh saves and early-game factories | £10 | £10 | Deploy |
| 6GB | 1–4 | Mid-game saves - coal power up to sprawling steel production | £15 | £15 | Deploy |
| 8GBPopular | 2–4 | Late-game factories with big conveyor and train networks | £20 | £20 | Deploy |
| 12GB | 4+ | Endgame megafactories and raised player caps | £30 | £30 | Deploy |
| 16GB | 4+ | Enormous long-running saves where nothing is ever deconstructed | £40 | £40 | Deploy |
Every Satisfactory plan is priced at a flat £2.50 per GB of RAM per month, and the renewal price is the same as the intro price - the rate you sign up at is the rate you keep.
Player columns assume the default 4-player cap. RAM demand comes from factory size, so a 500-hour solo save needs more than a fresh 4-player one - and raising the player cap past 4 is unofficial, so pair it with 12GB+.

Built for factories that never stop
Save management, backups, high-frequency CPUs, and instant resizes for saves that only ever grow.
Sized for Factory Growth
Satisfactory's RAM use grows with your save, not your player count. Start on 4GB and resize instantly from the dashboard as conveyor spaghetti becomes conveyor lasagne.
Save Uploads & Downloads
Upload your existing single-player or co-op save through the in-game server manager or FTP, and download the server save any time - your factory is portable.
Automatic Backups
Scheduled save backups with one-click restore. On a game where a save represents hundreds of hours, this is the feature you'll be gladdest is on by default.
High-Frequency CPUs
The dedicated server leans hard on single-thread CPU performance as factories scale. Our high-frequency cores keep tick times sane under heavy automation.
Mod Support
Mods from ficsit.app run on dedicated servers where the mod supports it - full file access means you can manage server-side mod files directly.
Automatic Updates
Coffee Stain patches regularly and server/client versions must match. Your server tracks the latest dedicated build so your group isn't locked out on patch day.
